Family First Life & Global Financial Management guide for a safe Christmas
Christmas 2020 is undoubtedly a unique and completely different Christmas, the global pandemic situation has brought an emotionally charged holiday, a bit of uncertainty and a lot of awareness about health and family care.
In search of maintaining some Christmas traditions families have resorted to technological means to share "together" in some way, however, there are families who decide to meet at home to have a dinner as normal as possible. If your family is one of these, we want to share some recommendations that will allow you to have a special time of safe sharing in which the protection and health of each family member is guaranteed.
The most recommendable is to meet only with members of your close family or only with the family members you live with.
It is very important to consider and apply each recommendation since homes, although full of love, can become a great source of contagion. Below are our recommendations for a safe Christmas.- Make purchases online to avoid crowding and risk of contagion.
- Prefer not to invite friends, only to meet as a family.
- When you arrive home, leave your shoes outside and immediately disinfect your hands.
- Hold the meeting in an open space or leave the windows open so that air can circulate in the room.
- Use the mask as long as possible.
- Children and seniors should be kept away from each other and avoid as much contact as possible with guests.
- Avoid hugs and kisses.
- If your guest has any symptoms of illness or allergies, it is best to return home.
A crucial time to share is at mealtime, and when sitting at the table, some basic health and safety guidelines should also be followed.
- Do not share plates, cutlery or glasses. In the case of glasses you can personalize them, so you assign a unique glass for each guest and make a special gift.
- Designate a maximum of two people to serve dinner, they must wear a mask.
- Avoid toasts in which the glasses collide with each other.
- Other general and basic recommendations are:
- Make short meetings no longer than 4 hours.
- Constant disinfection of hands, spaces and surfaces.
- Avoid singing and loud conversations.
- If your guest or invitation requires a trip it is better to stay home and share online.
The virus is still latent, it is not advisable to lower your guard and lose your health or life for a few hours (although very necessary) of holiday.
Life and health come first, there will be many moments to celebrate.
The dinner is another important aspect of the meetings, we know that the celebration revolves around the table so the choice of food and its preparation must comply with higher levels of health.
Diet is a super important aspect of health care, and in the midst of a pandemic much more, the consumption of fruits, vegetables, hot foods and beverages decreases the risk of catching flu and diseases that weaken the immune system by giving greater range of covid-19.
An ideal meal for this time of year should include protein, cereals, pasta, fruits, vegetables, and hot or warm beverages; the big ones missing should be saturated fats, processed foods with high fat content, and salt.
These are recommendations in some cases quite strict but necessary so that next Christmas or celebrations everyone can be united in hugs, love and joy as a great family and friends.
